White Banks NORTH Reef AM

This Morning at White Banks North Reef Owner Jen Kerr joined the Diving group as guide with Inst. Thomas. Key Largo morning diving off Deeper Dive Boat was an adventure. Tours can have the best laid plan and then a curve ball comes in causing changes of those plans.
We made the best of everything and enjoyed over 1 hour bottom time to make up for the long topside ride.

White Banks SOUTH AM

The second site at White Banks South Reef is such a pure pleasure with all the colorful corals and massive schools of fish. Diving Key Largo off Deeper Dive Boat is even a pleasure when the seas are a tad choppy like this morning. Scuba Diving Tours are only as great as the crew makes them and we hope we did a fine job this morning.

2 March 2019 AM & PM and NIGHT

AM: Wall in front of the Benwood Shipwreck

This morning at Benwood Wall all our divers were treated to the massive formations of healthy thriving living coral reef. With a max depth at this site of 90 feet deep it made a wonderful place for Inst. Alex to take his PADI advanced open water student to and do the deep skills. They dropped down to 86 feet on their computers and completed skills then made the slow swim up to the shipwreck sitting at 52 feet.
Inst. Thomas took the group of certified divers down to 81 feet max depth and then made the slow ascent up the beautiful coral covered wall to the Benwood shipwreck. Once back up at the bow of the Benwood they enjoyed watching all the schools of fish on the wreck as they completed the safety stop.

AM: Shipwreck Benwood

The second site at Shipwreck Benwood all divers with Instructor Thomas and Instructor Alex loved exploring this massive old shipwreck. The Benwood is a natural navigation shipwreck from 1942 and has been down since then. Fish and sea critters just love living at this site. Schools and schools of Grunts of all varieties call this their home.

Key Largo Reef Diving

North Star site @ Molasses Reef PM

This afternoon at North Star Reef Captain Chris reported Key Largo Reef Diving Weather Report as 70 to 80 feet viz and flat seas.
Water temperature today is nearly 79 F and the air temperature is holding right at 77.9 F. This makes for perfectly pleasant diving conditions.
PADI Instructor Mike is teaching open water training dive #1 and PADI Instructor Thomas is guide to our large group of certified divers.
It’s so nice out today we even have the non-diver spouses of our students and divers on the boat. The rider ladies slipped on bikinis and packed a cooler of beers for their fun boat ride afternoon.

Aquarium @ Molasses Reef PM

The second site at Aquarium Reef OWSI PADI Instructor Mike completed open water training dive #2 and all required surface skills with his student.
Inst. Thomas had fun guiding the group of certified divers and taking tons of fun photos for everyone. We sure made great diving memories for our guests today all day.
If this sounds like something you would like to join for a half day or full day, give us a call to book 305-453-3446.

NIGHT: Benwood Shipwreck

The Night dive site at Benwood Shipwreck was even more amazing to dive than it was this morning. The schools of fish were feeding and mating when we started the dive just after sunset. Processions of huge Parrotfish in all varieties flocked to this old shipwreck to settle in for the night in their spit-bubble they create to protect them. This is truly the very best site to do a night dive in all of the Florida Keys.

There are a lot of Florida Keys Scuba Shops to pick from. Each Operator in Key Largo is unique with how they run their tours and what they offer. Sail Fish Scuba prides our self with only ever selling around half the seats our USCG rated dive boat could carry. We just don’t like a crowded boat and have heard from guests they don’t like being on a packed boat. Making tons of money on each tour we run is not what we are all about. Making our guests super happy and having them enjoy their tour to the fullest is what we are all about.

Key Largo Dry Rocks Reef ~ Home of Christ of the Abyss Statue AM

This morning at KLDR Reef everyone enjoyed getting to visit the huge bronze statue of Jesus.
We enjoyed having Amoray Dive Resort boarding pass their group of certified divers and students with instructors this morning. Last year at this time we had started to realize we were about to need to install new engines and transmission in Deeper. It was wonderful of Amoray Dive Resort to take us on their boat tours for a month while our boat was out getting worked on and we love to be able to repay the favor.

N. North Dry Rocks Reef AM

The second site at N. N. Dry Rocks we enjoyed strolling down the grocery store aisle like rows of massive living corals. The white sand bottom between the rows of corals just sets the perfect canvas for all the colors of the reef here.

Florida Keys #1 Scuba Operator In Key Largo

All the crew at Sail Fish Scuba try super hard each and every day to provide top level customer service to every guest. The Florida Keys has so many Scuba shops and each Operator in Key Largo does a little something different.
At Sail Fish Scuba we pride ourselves with having a big USCG rated 38 foot boat and never selling out all the seats to guests on purpose. Since we only sell to guests about half the 24 total passenger seats she is rated for, we can keep our personal attention to each guest way higher. It is also nice to not be cramped when on a dive boat and able to move about freely on deck.
Mainly due to these things is what has kept us Florida Keys #1 Scuba Operator In Key Largo these past 7 plus years.

Barracuda Alley at Grecian Rocks Reef Line PM

This afternoon at Barracuda Alley Reef Instructor Thomas and Instructor Alex guided our group of divers. The weather man was once again wrong today with the wind forecast and out of no where the winds picked up for a few hours. We sure wish we could control the future winds and weather forecast to be able to make it perfect and flat for our guests. All we are able to do is provide our guests with the best possible customer service and creative dive plans we can come up with.
At this site since it is protected from the reef, we enjoyed only a 1 foot chop at the surface and around 20 foot of viz. underwater.

Banana Reef PM

The second site at Banana Reef PADI Instructors Thomas and Alex guided our guests and took fun photos. This site has many Midnight Parrotfish, Great Barracudas, and tons of cleaning stations. Key Largo Dry Rocks Reef

This Afternoon at Key Largo Dry Rocks Reef PADI Dive Master Rick guided our group of snorkeling guests and PADI Instructor Mike guided our certified divers. Mother nature was trying to stop us from having fun and tossed some East wind our way which handed us some sporty seas. We know we can’t control the weather but we can control the level of customer service we provide. Hoping our guests enjoyed the afternoon.

Grecian Rocks Reef @ Barracuda Alley

The second site at Barracuda Alley low tide made this a calmers topside location for all our guests. The wind caused the viz to drop quite a bit sooner than we hoped but our guides did the best with what we had to show our guest the best times. Inst. Mike spotted a huge Southern Stingray during the guided dive and took some fun photos.
