PADI Rescue Diver Course Description

During the course, you learn to become a better buddy by practicing problem-solving skills until they become second nature. You will learn and practice self-rescue, because if you are not a confident rescuer, then when performing a rescue, there could become 2 victims. Because you learn to prevent and manage problems in the water and become more confident in your skills as a diver, knowing that you can help others if needed.

PADI Rescue Diver Course Outline

Must hold (current in last 24 months) CPR & 1st Aid certification. If not, simply add our Emergency First Responder 1 day course before the day of this Rescue Diver course.

PADI Rescue Diver Course covers a wide range of topics including, The Psychology of Rescue, Recognizing Diver Stress, Accident Management, Assisting Responsive and Unresponsive Divers at the Surface and Underwater, Equipment Problems, Oxygen Delivery Systems, Missing Diver Procedures, Responding to Diver Emergencies and i-0water Rescue Breathing

Day #1

7:30 AM – 12:30 PM Land and pool Confined Water Rescue Training Dives (One through Five)

Day #2

Morning or afternoon 2-tank Ocean Dives to complete the Open Water portion of the course.

You need to be at least 12 years old, certified to beyond entry-level with proof of underwater navigation training, such as PADI Adventure Diver with the Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive completed, and be fit for diving to be certified as a PADI Rescue Diver.

Review Medical Questionnaire

You will need to bring a signed letter from your doctor verifying that you are “fit for diving” before entering in the water.

If you cancel your booked tour less than 12 hours of your scheduled check-in time OR you are a NO-SHOW for your booked tour, you will be held to payment in full for the booked tour. Our staff have already committed to working for you on this day and they are all independent contractors. We have no salary staff, so these folks make their living working for you and would have little chance of finding other work with this short of notice.

If you call between 12 – 48 hours before your scheduled tour to cancel, you forfeit your payment collected. Any cancellations more than 48 hours before scheduled check-in time will have payments refunded.
