Discover Scuba Diving– 1 Day Adventure
Never tried scuba before? Here’s your chance to experience the magic of breathing underwater—no certification required! Our Discover Scuba Diving experience is a one-day introduction that lets you explore the ocean without committing to a full course.
Your adventure begins with a fun and informative classroom briefing, where you’ll learn the basics of scuba safety, equipment, and underwater communication. Then, you’ll head to the pool to get comfortable using the gear and practice a few simple skills under the guidance of your seasoned instructor.
Once you’re comfortable, it’s time for the highlight of the day—a boat ride to two stunning shallow reef sites, where you’ll experience your very first ocean dive surrounded by vibrant marine life. It’s an unforgettable glimpse into the underwater world that just might ignite a lifelong love for the ocean.
No prior scuba experience is needed, and the course is open to anyone 10 years or older. Before participating, all participants must complete a medical questionnaire to ensure they are fit for diving.

PADI Scuba Diver Course
Start Your Lifetime Certification
The PADI Scuba Diver certification is a subset of the Open Water Diver course and a great option if you can’t dedicate two full days to complete the Open Water course but still want a lifetime certification.
The main differences between the PADI Scuba Diver and the PADI Open Water Diver certifications are the time commitment, the maximum depth allowed, and who you can dive with. As a PADI Scuba Diver, you’ll be certified to dive to a maximum depth of 12m/40ft under the supervision of a dive professional.
You’ll complete selected portions of the PADI Open Water Diver eLearning, pool training, and two open water dives, giving you a strong foundation in scuba diving skills.
Because the training overlaps, you can upgrade to the full PADI Open Water Diver certification — just come back to the Keys to complete the remaining requirements.
PADI Scuba Diver Course Prerequisites
- Minimum age: 10 years old
- Medical: Medically fit for diving. All participants must complete the Diver Medical Participant Questionnaire and related PADI documents. Please note: Certain medical conditions may prevent you from diving—please consult your doctor if you have any concerns.
- Swimming ability: Complete a 10-minute swim/float demonstrating comfort in water too deep in which to stand
- Knowledge: Complete Knowledge Development 1–3 of PADI Open Water Diver eLearning, including quizzes

PADI Open Water Diver Referral
Complete Your Course in Paradise
The PADI Open Water Diver Referral lets you start your course at one dive center and finish it at another—anywhere in the world. Begin your academics and pool sessions at home, then complete your open water dives with us here in Key Largo.
You’ll need two days to complete your open water checkout dives—two dives per day. Each dive is guided under the direct supervision of your seasoned instructor.
Here in South Florida, we’re spoiled with access to some of the most beautiful shallow reefs and dive sites—ideal for beginner training! We aim to give all our new divers the chance to explore a variety of locations during their course.
Once you're certified, you’ll have the freedom to spend the rest of your holiday exploring the underwater world and building even more diving experience!
Not Included:
You’ll need to provide your own personal gear, which includes a mask, fins, and snorkel. We have a wide variety of quality dive gear from great brand names, and as a student, you’ll receive a special discount on these items. BCDs, tanks, regulators, and weights are included.

Refresh Your Diving Skills
When was the last time you went below the surface? If it’s been a while—six months, a year, or more—it’s normal to feel a bit out of practice. The Refresher Course is the perfect way to rebuild your muscle memory and boost your comfort, safety, and overall enjoyment in the water.
You’ll have the chance to review and practice essential dive skills in our pool and talk with one of our instructors, who can answer any questions and help fine-tune your diving skills. The goal is very simple—to ensure you feel safe, comfortable, and confident to dive again. If you don't have your own gear, no worries! Dive gear is provided and included in the price.
After the pool session, you’ll head out with your instructor for a 2-tank shallow reef dive trip to explore the vibrant reefs of Key Largo.
If it’s been more than a year since your last dive, we highly recommend completing the morning refresher. For those who haven’t dived in over two years, a morning refresher at Sail Fish Scuba is required before joining any open-water dives.

Advance Your Diving Skills
Ready to take your diving to the next level? That’s exactly what the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course is all about. You don’t need to be an “advanced” diver to join—this course is designed to build your confidence and expand your skills, and you can start right after earning your PADI Open Water Diver certification. This course aims to expand your skills and abilities as well as gain greater confidence beneath the surface.
During your training, you’ll complete five Adventure Dives: two core dives—deep diving (beyond 18m/60ft) and underwater navigation—plus three additional dives of your choice. With a wide variety of options available, you can customize your experience to match your interests, whether that’s Night Diving, Wreck Diving, Underwater Photography, Search and Recovery, and more.
With PADI eLearning, you’ll complete the knowledge portion at your own pace before you arrive, giving you more time to focus on what really matters—diving and developing your skills in the ocean.
The PADI Advanced Open Water course is open to certified divers aged 12 and up looking to expand their skills and explore new dive experiences. An Open Water certification is required. PADI Rescue Diver Course
Are Your Prepared?
The Rescue Diver course is where you start looking beyond your own diving experience and begin focusing on the safety of others around you.
This course teaches you to handle emergencies both underwater and at the surface, as well as on board a boat. You’ll receive training in self-rescue, recognizing and managing diver stress, dive first aid, and the use of AED and emergency oxygen systems. You’ll also learn a range of swimming and non-swimming rescue techniques, all designed to make you a more aware, confident, and capable diver.
This course is open to divers who:
- Are at least 12 years old (and hold a PADI (Junior) Adventure Diver certification – must have completed the Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive)
- Completion of the Diver Medical Form
- Advanced Open Water Diver certification (or equivalent)
- Have a current PADI Emergency First Responder (CPR & First Aid) certification—or equivalent—completed within the last two years

Diver Medical Form
The Diver Medical Participant Questionnaire is designed to help assess your overall health and identify any medical conditions that could affect your ability to dive safely. The Diver Medical Participant Questionnaire is required for all recreational scuba diving and freediving courses.
1. If you respond with a “yes” to statements 3, 5 or 10 on page 1 of the Diver Medical form, you must obtain written clearance to dive from a physician as a prerequisite to in-water activities.
2. A “yes” response to statements 1, 2, 4, 6, 7, 8 or 9 on page 1 of the Diver Medical form requires you to respond to statements on page 2. A “yes” response to any statements on page 2 requires written clearance to dive from your physician as a prerequisite to in-water activities.
3. There can be no restrictions or conditions noted by your physician (for example, depth limits, water temperature restrictions, etc.)
4. Medical clearance from a physician is valid for one year.
Health, Fitness, and Continuing Education for Divers
Scuba diving, freediving, and snorkeling are physically strenuous activities that require participants to be in good overall physical and mental health. If you have any concerns about your health or fitness to dive, we strongly recommend consulting with a physician prior to your participation. As a certified diver, it is your responsibility to maintain and refresh your knowledge and skills through regular practice and ongoing education.

Here in Key Largo, we can work with you no matter what starting certification level you happen to be and help you achieve this prestigious level scuba diving certification.
Requirements: OW, AOW, EFR(CPR/AED) + (Primary/Secondary Care), Rescue, 5 Specialty Certifications and 50 logged dives.

PADI Divemaster is the first step out of recreational scuba courses and into the professional dive industry. Pursuing this certification requires you to be in Key Largo for a minimum of two weeks.
